Founded in 1847 in India, today ISS is headquartered in London and operates in more than 60 countries and more than 85% of seaports around the world. Its largest business, known as port agency, manages all a ship’s operational and regulatory requirements when it calls at a port, dealing with port and customs authorities, suppliers and service providers. The business handles around $4 billion of transactions across more than 80,000 port calls annually.
ISS is the global leader in a growing and fragmented market. We bought the business in 2022 with a plan to transform it through a programme of operational excellence, investment in data and digital capabilities and M&A.
