Electra Partners' portfolio company, Hotter Shoes ("Hotter"), the UK's largest shoe manufacturer, has been awarded the coveted Queen's Award for Enterprise in recognition for its success in international trade.

The Queen's Awards are the UK's most prestigious business awards. They are made annually by HM the Queen and are only given for the highest levels of excellence demonstrated in each category. Approximately 140 Queen's Awards have been announced this year for outstanding business achievement in the fields of International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development.

Electra Partners acquired a majority stake in Hotter in January 2014, with Electra Private Equity investing £84 million of equity in the deal.
