ABOUT THE INVESTMENT

Portals is one of the leading producers globally of paper and security features used to make security documents such as passports and bank notes. The paper business operates from the UK whilst the security features business operates from Italy. Both businesses sell to public and private sector customers worldwide.

We bought Portals in 2018 in a complex carve-out from a UK corporate. Our strategy is to establish the business on a standalone footing and then to build it into a strategically valuable business through performance improvement and a renewed focus on growth.
